The industry connects over 1.2 million Canadians to entrepreneurial opportunity and enrichment. The DSA provides an assurance of member company integrity and a foundation of trust for micro entrepreneurs and consumers alike. Over 82% of Canadian direct sellers are women. In 2016, over $2.4 billion of retail products and services were sold in Canada using a direct selling model. The strength of direct selling lies in its tradition of independence, its simplicity, and its commitment to a free market system, providing accessible business and career opportunities to people whose entry is not restricted by gender, age, education or previous experience.

Members of the Canadian DSA include global firms with household names such as Amway, Arbonne, Avon, Cutco/Vector Marketing, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Nu Skin, Pampered Chef, PartyLite Gifts, Unicity, USANA Health Sciences, and Steeped Tea, to name a few.
