Community Services Advocate and Local Waterloo Entrepreneur Wins DSA Canada’s Community Spirit Award

Community Spirit Award Shes Got Leggz 419x248 1
Date: 10 Dec, 2021

Congratulations to Courtney Waterfall, a part-time Chapter Director for Shelter Movers in the Waterloo Region, a foster mom and local direct selling entrepreneur with She’s Got Leggz, for winning the Community Spirit Award for her community service efforts!

Courtney is a passionate advocate for community services, education and foster care. In April 2021, with a rise in pandemic-related domestic abuse cases, she joined the Waterloo chapter of Shelter Movers, a national, volunteer-powered charitable organization providing moving and storage services at no cost to women and children fleeing abuse.

She also actively volunteers as the President of the Foster Family Association in the Waterloo Region, and is a member of various community service committees.

On top of her already busy schedule, Courtney is also currently undertaking a Social Service Worker diploma and credits the flexibility of her She’s Got Leggz business as a way that she has been able to make some extra income while pursuing her dream career.

“All the recipients of our awards are exemplary leaders of Canada’s direct selling industry,” said Peter Maddox, President of the DSA. ” Courtney inspires us with her community involvement and passion for making a positive difference. Her dedication helps to enrich the lives of many Canadians”

Donna Pinsonneault, CEO for She’s Got Leggz, says “She is an amazing team player and can be counted on to take time to always help others. Her adherence to the DSA and She’s Got Leggz core values and ethics are a reflection of her character.”
