Awards CSA news394x229
Date: 07 Dec, 2020

Congratulations to Jennifer Dekezel, a full-time Toronto police officer, youth mentor and local direct selling entrepreneur with MONAT Global Canada, for winning the Community Spirit Award for her community service efforts!

On top of serving her community while on duty as a police officer, Jennifer also runs a youth mentorship program called Girlz Will Be Girlz. Utilizing the funds she raises through her MONAT business, she mentors’ young girls who live in high-risk and high-crime areas of Toronto and temporarily houses those who need to get away from their current situations.

Through her MONAT business she also serves as Gratitude Ambassador, helping to spread awareness by inviting others to embrace the spirit of giving back to those less privileged in their communities. Most recently, Jennifer was able to donate 380 MONAT Hand Sanitizers to fellow officers in Toronto in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also helped a family who lost everything in a house fire by bringing the MONAT community together to gather items of clothing, food and home supplies and temporarily found them a place to stay while they dealt with the devastation of their home being rebuilt.

“All the recipients of our awards are true champions of Canada’s direct selling industry,” said Peter Maddox, President of the DSA. “In particular, Jennifer has helped to enrich the lives of many Canadians through her dedication and passion. We are inspired as an industry by her many accomplishments.”

Jackie McClements, Vice President and General Manager for MONAT Global Canada, says “Jen is always thinking about how she can serve and help others.  She is a constant beacon of light for so many, through her business and through gratitude.”
