DSA Canada Announces Winners of the 2024 ISC Awards on Direct Sellers Day

The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) recognized the exceptional accomplishments of four standout Independent Sales Consultants (ISCs) during the annual ISC Awards ceremony and Direct Sellers Day celebration on September 18. Held at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, the event saw industry leaders, family, and friends come together to honour achievements within the Canadian direct selling community.

The ceremony was hosted by the Jessie Arsenault, DSEF Chair and Senior Director of Sales at MONAT Global Canada, and Jorge Huaman, General Manager of Immunotec Inc. and DSA Canada Board Director. The event included inspiring talks from past winners and current nominees, sharing their compelling journeys and the profound impact of direct selling on their lives.

Peter Maddox, President of DSA Canada, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The ISC Awards are a cornerstone of celebrating the remarkable efforts of our consultants. Each winner tonight exemplifies the dedication, innovation, and spirit that fuel the success of direct selling in Canada. Their stories are inspiring and are powerful examples to the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in our community."

This year’s ISC Award recipients are:

  • Mark of Distinction Award – Natalie Foeller, Plexus Canada: Natalie from Peterborough, Ontario, has been a pivotal figure at Plexus, known for her leadership and extensive contributions to the team and community. 
  • Rising Star Award – Karine Guillemette, Mary Kay Cosmetics: Operating out of Chibougamau, Quebec, a small northern town, Karine has shown an extraordinary trajectory in her short tenure at Mary Kay. "This recognition bolsters my determination to excel further and inspire new entrepreneurs," Karine stated.
  • Community Spirit Award – Jessica Odar, MONAT Global Canada: From Quebec City, Jessica has significantly impacted her community through dedicated service and leadership. "It's an honour to be acknowledged for my commitment to community betterment," Jessica expressed.
  • Direct Seller of the Year – Alana Leiva, Cutco/Vector Marketing Canada: Based in Toronto, Ontario, Alana has driven substantial growth and innovation at Cutco/Vector Marketing. "This award validates our hard work and the vast potential within direct selling," Alana remarked.

Marcia Cota, Senior Vice President, North America at MONAT Global Canada and Board Chair of DSA Canada highlighted, "Tonight’s winners illustrate the powerful impact of our industry. Their achievements reinforce the positive influence direct selling has on numerous lives across Canada."

The event also served as a platform to celebrate Direct Sellers Day, an annual event aimed at engaging with the broader community to foster awareness and recognition of direct selling’s role in personal and economic growth.
