The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) proudly announces its annual Direct Sellers Day, slated for September 18, 2024. This year's theme, “My Independent Spirit”, highlights the resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of independent sales consultants (ISCs) across Canada. The event will culminate in the prestigious ISC Awards, recognizing the exceptional contributions of ISCs in various categories.

Direct Sellers Day is a celebration and a showcase of the significant impact of the direct selling industry in Canada, which generates over $8.7 billion in economic activity annually. This year, the event will take place at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre located at 801 Dixon Rd, Toronto, featuring an awards ceremony and notable speeches from industry leaders.

Award Finalists and Ceremony Highlights:

The ISC Awards ceremony will honour finalists across four categories: Rising Star, Mark of Distinction, Community Spirit, and Direct Seller of the Year. The event will be hosted by Jessie Arsenault, Senior Director of Sales at MONAT Global Canada and Chair of the Direct Selling Education Foundation, and Jorge Hauman, General Manager of Immunotec Inc. and DSA Canada Board Director.

Noteworthy speakers at the event include Deepak Anand, MPP for Mississauga—Malton, Sam Clarke from MONAT Global Canada, who was honoured as the Rising Star award recipient in 2022, and Alana Leiva from Vector Marketing Canada, who is nominated this year for the Direct Seller of the Year award. Additionally, Kristen McBride from Mary Kay Cosmetics, living in Squamish, British Columbia, will share a video message of her inspiring journey of resilience as a quadriplegic who has risen to become a successful direct selling sales director.

"Recognizing our outstanding ISCs is crucial as they are the backbone of our industry, providing personalized customer experiences and significantly contributing to the Canadian economy," said Peter Maddox, President of DSA Canada.

Marcia Cota, DSA Canada Board Chair, added, "These awards underscore our commitment to fostering an environment that celebrates the independent spirit and dedication of direct sellers across the nation."

Direct selling in Canada involves approximately 1.1 million ISCs, and contributes over $1.4 billion annually in local and national taxes.
