DSA Canada Connect 2025 Spotlights Innovation and Honours Excellence in Direct Selling

The Direct Sellers Association of Canada wrapped up its Connect 2025 annual conference last week (June 22-25) in Kelowna, British Columbia, welcoming industry leaders and entrepreneurs to explore how innovation, resilience, and community will shape the next chapter of Canada's $3 billion direct selling industry.

Held at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort, the event featured bold keynotes, an immersive group workshop, the launch of DSA Canada’s exciting new sales consultant education program and valuable updates on compliance, AI and field engagement.

Keynote Spotlights:

Trisha Miltimore opened the conference with an energizing keynote on WorkLife Wellness, offering practical tools for balancing leadership and personal wellbeing.

“Ease isn’t lazy. It’s leadership intelligence,” said Miltimore, introducing the ‘Ease Edit,’ a mindset reset that challenges attendees to reduce friction and reclaim energy through intention.

“Thriving isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters, with heart.”

Ashly Torian, in her body-mind performance session, encouraged direct sellers to view wellness as a success tool, not a luxury. She called on leaders to integrate breathwork, clarity practices, and mindset resets into their daily routines to better show up for their teams.

Angie MacDougall, a longtime field leader with Vector Marketing Canada, inspired conference attendees with a message on courageous leadership. She reminded attendees that progress is never perfect, but always possible:

“You don’t need to know the whole staircase. Just take the next step, with intention.”

What’s Working Now: Insights from Industry Leaders

In candid group-therapy–style discussions, members shared the strategies that are delivering results in 2025:

  • Growing use of affiliate funnels and social media marketplace pilots
  • Multi-brand collaborations that increase exposure and sales
  • Culture of “permission to be creative” that’s igniting fresh ideas from the field

Leaders reported a renewed focus on recruitment and retention, with exclusive customer clubs and simplified onboarding generating measurable growth in both new rep acquisition and auto-ship conversions.
